Should I take M408C this fall?

I don't know if I should take M 408C this fall at UT, or to take Calculus 1 @ ACC. This upcoming year is going to be my third year. I haven't taken calculus since my first semester where I bombed my 408L class with an F! I took calculus my senior year in high school and passed the AP exam to get credit for 408C. I want to retake it so I can relearn the material.

If I do take 408C I will be taking James Vick. He has really good reviews on myedu.com, but on his syllabus from last fall it says that he doesn't allow calculators.

Its been a good 2 years since I've been around calculus so I feel like I won't do so good in the class since I need to brush up some.

Do you think I should just go for it? And I should learn my way through, or take the longer/(maybe) easier route at ACC?

M 408C is meant for engineering freshmen who have never taken calculus before. Assuming you’re not entirely dumb (and you couldn’t be, since you go to UT), you should be fine with an appropriate amount of effort.
