Should I take Pre-Calc at a community college over the summer?

I’m currently in Algebra II acing it with ease. As a result, I’m debating taking Pre-Calc at a community college this summer so I can enroll in Calculus CPE or AP Calculus AB next fall. Any thoughts? And if I did take the course would moving into AP Calc be too big of a jump?

Were you good at geometry/trig?

Keep in mind normally summer semesters are more compressed.

It depends on a lot of things - first check with your school to see if they will accept this or if you can take the final to place out of a class- what the procedure is about this and if you want it on your transcript for college (most probably won’t care about classes prior to calc if you take calc). I had one kid skip pre-calc and go straight to Calculus, so it really varies by student.
