Should I take SAT practice tests to prepare for PSAT?

I will take the PSAT test some next month. I don't have any book that has the PSAT practice test. But I have some books that have the SAT practice test. Can I just practice the SAT tests to prepare for PSAT test?

Yes, using practice SAT tests will prepare you well for the PSAT. The PSAT is the same format as the SAT, just a little shorter, so taking SAT practice tests will benefit you a lot on the PSAT. Use The Official SAT Study Guide (The Blue Book) that has ten official SAT practice tests.

Yes, It’s a great idea to use the SAT practice tests to prep for the PSAT. The PSAT is only about 1/2 as long–it will be like training for a marathon, then, when you get there, you only have to run 1/2.
The PSAT doesn’t have an essay, so you can skip prepping for the essay (if you wish) until after the PSAT. Also, the SAT has a few harder math questions than the PSAT. Other than that, the questions are similar.

Yes I agree. The SAT is a harder than the PSAT so it will definitely prepare you. Princeton Review has a book with 10 SAT tests and 1 PSAT if you want to actually look at the PSAT format. But I would reccommend the college board book for actual studying because it is more authentic.

The school where you registered for the test will usually give you a (real) PSAT practice test.

If you want a book that is specifically for the PSAT, I’ve used Kaplan and found it accurate and helpful. It only has 4 practice tests, though.
