Can I take PSAT test for SAT?

I think the way I phrase the question makes no sense. What I mean is this summer I'm studying for the SAT and I have like 18 practice test, 10 from Blue book and 8 from like the 2005 SAT. But the way my schedule is set up it looks like I'm going to go through them pretty fast. But I also have 8 PSAT test from like the 2005-06 too and I was just wondering if taking those will be a good substitution. I know it's shorter but it's basically the same questions right??

yes. i think math may be a wee bit easier but it definitely helps in all regards. I would start with the PSATS.

Yes, they are good substitutions. You won’t find any Algebra II questions in the math section, but the reading and writing are nearly identical (minus the essay, of course).

BUMP- just want to know what others are thinking. Thank you SATwriter and arrness though.

Are you going to be a senior or junior in the coming year? When are you taking SAT.

^^^ incoming junior, and i’ll take it fall, maybe October or December

You may want to take a few practice essays. I recommend using the last SAT essay topics.

To answer your question, yes. Just realize that you’ll need to practice the essay separately, then.

Should nt you be actually practicing for PSAT in October as an incoming junior? It is lot more important for you at this point. The difference between SAT and PSAT is the essay and experimental section and so you wont be far off using PSAT tests.

It is important for you also practice for PSAT.

^^ definitely :)
