I was literally ONE DAMN POINT away from a 33 and this will aggravate me to my deathbed, especially because my friend and I were both aiming for a 33 this time and SHE GOT IT, while I am just so close yet so far.

I know a lot of the people on here who pulled 34+ on their first or second tries will probably snort at my question (and my pathetically close and still not satisfactory score) but I need your input. Four times for the ACT is a lot and I feel like a lot of colleges won't look upon that favorably as it is, but if I take it one more time, I think I can even get it up to a 34. Should I take it again?

If you superscore, you get 33 (33.25). 4 time taking the test is definitely overboard I would say. I would resort to SAT unless you are absolutely certain you will get 33+ in October.

@viphan do a lot of colleges superscore the ACT though? The ones I’m looking at average 33 and I was so looking forward to getting a 33 this time around…I don’t know. I don’t think it’s worth paying $52+ for this test anymore, especially now that it seems I’ve reached my limit. Don’t want to take my chances and waste my money.

If you don’t have the desire, don’t do it. It’ll do more harm than good. 32 is still fantastic, but make up for that point with your GPA, ECs etc. You seem exhausted and tired. I would advise you to focus more on other important things. Good luck.

@viphan thanks I’ve got the extracurricular activities and a decent GPA, so I’m going to tackle those essays with everything I got at this point.
