Should I take the ACT early?

I'm only a sophomore, but since I'm in a few advanced classes with juniors, we've been doing ACT prep lately. Several teachers recommended taking it your sophomore year to see what it's like/where you need to improve, but it costs something like $50 (our school pays for it our junior year, because taking the ACT is a graduation requirement).

I took the PSAT this fall and scored a 207 (80 CR, 57 M, 70 WS), but I really need to improve my math scores, by, like, leaps and bounds. So basically, my question is: is it worth the $50 to test early?

I feel like your main concern should be how you do on the test and whether a possibly unsatisfactory test score on your resume is important to you or not. Honestly, test scores are way more important than $50 if you are planning to apply to selective colleges.

Or, if you just want to take it to see where you’re at, just go buy a prep book and take a practice test. Take it under testing conditions and it will give you just about as good as an idea as the actual test would.

The school is ripping you off 4$.lol.

It’s $46 for ACT+writing.
