I'm going through these math problems in both the ACT and SAT books...I mean, would it be advantageous for me to take both the ACT [though I'm not entirely prepared for the science portion] & the SAT? The math looks a bit easier on the ACT...

I mean, is not preparing for the science portion a huge detriment towards my performance?
...

well i guess its not really to prepare for the science section. but if you have a general knowledge of the main subjects, and understanding of the scientific method, it should be fine. there's a lot of data analysis and interpreting trends.

The science section is the easiest section. You just have to learn how to do it fast enough. Learn how to find information quickly and you will not have any trouble.

That being said, the only real way to get better at the science section is to practice it a few times. You don;t have to necessarily prep, but you should do at least a few science sections before the real test.

sat math is a lot easier than act math

sat does tend to be trickier, though.
