I got a 2030 on the SAT, and I figured that whatever corresponding ACT score I got would be lower since I'm not scientifically oriented. I did score high on the PLAN test though. Should I try my hand at the ACT anyway, or singularly focus on raising my SAT score?

Yes, it can't hurt the to take the ACT - even if you don't do well you never have to report the scores to colleges.

The ACT seemed much easier than the SAT. My SAT score was only a 1780, on the new SAT, but my ACT was a 29. On the SAT, a lot of the questions I got wrong I filled in, that really hurt me. I didn't leave any blank.

The only thing about the ACT is it goes quicker. If you can read quickly, and understand the info quickly, then go for the ACT. Your score should be better.

Definitely take the ACT. I also had a 2030 on the SAT, but, lo and behold, the nice people at the ACT headquarters somewhere in Ohio or Iowa or something gave me a 34. Amen to the reading and understanding things quickly... just speed read, and do great (or make it out alive, at least).

i'd take a practice one first to see how it goes before deciding to take the real thing...
