Should I take the AP English Literature and Composition Exam?

I'll be at SEAS next year, and I'm trying to figure out my AP credit. I can only apply 16 credits total and I already have 3 from the other English AP, which is the max I could apply towards a minor, so I'm thinking I shouldn't buy this exam. Did any SEAS students end up using their AP English Literature and Composition credit? Or AP Gov or Stats? It doesn't look like I can get stats credit... THANKS

Congratulations.

You get no credit for Stat, so don’t bother taking the test. If you have other AP’s that satisfy the 9 pt elective non-technical courses, don’t take take the AP Gov or AP English Lit exam, If you don’t have the 9 pts already, there’s no harm in taking the tests.

The 3 credit limit in English only applies if you were planning to minor in English. If you are planning to minor in English, then skip the exam.

You can juggle around the 16 points however best serves you. Much of it is still up in the air, as I presume you have other AP tests to take.

Thanks! Also, do you know if there is any advantage to taking one of the Econ AP’s if I can’t take both?

None whatsoever. Econ w1105 covers both macro and micro, so you need to take both AP tests to get credit. So if your class only covered one part save yourself the $89.00.

Ok thanks again
