Should I take the SAT again?

Hey... I need some advice. I've just gotten my SAT scores back and needless to say, they are not very good. This my third time. So, my question is, should I retake the test again even if it will be my fourth time? These are my scores, all taken with little, if any actual serious attempt at studying:

December 2011 SAT: 700 CR/460 M/610 W - 8 Essay (1770/2400)
March SAT 2012: 690 CR/550 M/720 W - 12 Essay (1960/2400)
June SAT 2012: 690 CR/520 M/690 W - 10 Essay (1900/2400)

I'm not trying to be perfect, but I had not had the greatest school years. I was in and out of hospitals, severe depression, etc... I had little time to study and was seriously unmotivated anyway. I don't want to simply give excuses, but I think that affected how well I did a lot.

Now I am not really sure about what to do and kind of panicking. I have an okay GPA, approximately 4.4 weighted and am within the top 1 percent of my school (out of a 620 plus student class), but they're nothing spectacular and I'm of East Asian descent.

Do you think there any chance that I can improve my score for the upcoming October test by studying over the summer or should I just accept that this is the best I can do? Or would it be a bad idea to take the SAT this many times regardless? Thank and sorry of my post is long.

Taking it more than three times is risky. If you study over the summer properly you should bring it up. My first SAT was like a 1960…superscored is a 2270 and all I did was study correctly (not wasting my time on superfluous long books, I only took previous collegeboard exams).
