I really, really want to get into highly ranked institutions, but studying for the SATs take so much of my time that I need to spend on my ECs and research projects. Should I just apply to test-optional schools and hope for the best or take the time to study and make high scores, opening up doors to more schools?
Test optional schools are test option so they can accept full pay students who would otherwise lower their published scores. Why not take the ACTs which are more straight forward and less tricky.
@lostaccount I did poorly on the ACT, completely bombed the math and science sections (17) while making a 32 on the reading and writing sections. I do very well on the redesigned SAT practice tests. but it still is a lot of time. where did you get that information?
