Should I take the Spanish test if I'm fluent (and Hispanic)?

I've heard that taking an SAT Subject Test for a language you are fluent in is helpful in demonstrating to colleges proficiency in the language and possibly earning college credit.

Can anyone confirm this or at least respond to my original question? Thanks.

No - waste of time and money. Ever heard of a placement test? If you so badly desire not to take foreign language in college, you can most likely test out of it.

Take it if you know you can get an 800 and you don’t mind spending some extra money. However, don’t send it as a “required” test. Send it as a supplemental 3rd score (to a school that requires 2 Subject Tests).

Sure, just don’t take it on October 1st because that’s when I’m taking it, and I don’t want you to jack up the curve :D

@wizkid94- haha lol that’s funny.
