Should i talk about lowering expectations

I have a looooong time before its due but I’ve started on my college essays. One of them im writing on how i thought i would be famous and cure cancer as a teenager, when I was still in 1st grade and it took me a while to lower to more realistic expectations which would make me happier.

Does this make me look like I’m a settler and not a go-getter? I put a lot of soul in the essay, but scared it might make me look bad

I think it could be a good read if approached in the right way. Pushing yourself to be the best YOU is different from pushing yourself to be the best out of everyone. You’re not eschewing goals and dreams, just tailoring them to make them attainable, if still a bit of a stretch.

I feel like that’s not your best strength. You might want to write it, set it aside, then write a more “traditional” essay. Just a thought!
