Should I Transfer from SCAD?

I just completed my first year at SCAD, and now that its come time to pay for next year, I've run into a huge financial problem.

I cant seem to find any money to pay for next year, and whenever I call the school either no one answers or they try preaching me into a payment plan. But I have no money to PAY for a payment plan. SCAD is easily $38K-$55K a year (god forbid you live on campus) And I dont have any money to finance another year let alone 2 more.

(SCAD would have put me $100K in the hole for my undergrad!)

I was thinking of taking a quarter off and just getting a job. But minimum wage won't even cover tuition.

So my second option was just transferring to state school in Atlanta. Some place like Georgia State or even Georgia Southern. But there aren't many places that have my major. And out-of-state isn't an option. (I'm looking for a school with a great Graphic Design/Motion Graphics/Advertising or some related program that doesn't cost as much as SCAD or another pricey art school in general)

To top it off I couldn't get another loan (without a cosigner.) Sallie Mae DENIED me!
And scholarships are impossible for an average student like me!

Any suggestions? I would like to stay at SCAD but my pockets are telling other wise!
Anybody know of schools in Atlanta I can go to?

Thanks!

Have you taken your basic education requirements yet? Have you taken your intro design, drawing, painting, etc classes?
You can take some of those at a community college for a year, make great grades and then go back to SCAD and apply for scholarships. It will save you a great deal of money while allowing you to remain in school. Your financial aid will apply at a cc and you most likely won’t need any loans to attend.
