Hi, I currently go to Cal State University, Northridge and am studying Mechancial Engineering. It isn’t that I dislike the school but I do wish I could study in a more conpetitive enviroment with more oppurtunities (research particilarly).
I am about to go into my second year so I will have to decided whether or not I want to apply this fall to transfer somewhere. I literally have no money so I would need to transfer to another public university in CA.
I have a 3.86 cummulative GPA and am on track on the 4 year plan at CSUN but I know that it won’t transfer to a UC directly or some CSU’s for that matter.
My question is, am I competitive to transfer anywhere with better research oppurtunities and hands-on projects like FSAE (reserved for Senior design at CSUN)? Which schools would work? CSULB? SLO? UCD? None of them? Would you reccomend transfering? I don’t want to sound like I’m on a high horse but to be honest, I feel like I could be challenged more.
I honestly have no idea what to do and any help would be greatly appreciated.
