Should I transfer out of Mendoza College of Business to Cornell AEM

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if it was stupid for me to try to transfer into Cornell. I've been at Notre Dame a year and I'm just not happy at all the school in general, but it has the #1 ranked business school by Businessweek. So am I making a stupid mistake in trying to transfer just because of the social life? I'm not happy here and I don't want to spend the next 3 years being miserable......but I know that Notre Dame's alumni is strong, and I've had a lot of opportunities to meet recruiters on campus. Will Cornell offer me the same kind of quality of opportunities?

Also can someone help and explain to me how the Cornell business major structure works? Is the hotel school of management solely focused on management and that accounting and finance major falls under AEM?

Also, what are other schools with great undergraduate business program other than Wharton at U of Penn?

McIntire at UVA!

Thanks, I’m looking more for private schools though!

No problem, sorry I can’t help with your Cornell question.

Although Notre Dame’s business program is ranked higher according to USNews, 9/10 people will tell you that Cornell has a stronger undergrad business program. They get more on-campus recruiting from the top banks and place very well on Wall Street, if that’s a path you’re seeking. If I were in your position, I’d transfer to Cornell if given the opportunity.
