Hello I am currently going to be a Junior this fall. I transfered from the University of Miami to the University of Southern California after my freshmen year. I just completed my sophomore year at USC. The reason I left U Miami was because USC had always been a long time dream of mine but I absolutely loved U Miami and had a hard time making the decision to transfer out of UMiami once I got into USC. However, USC was not everything I hoped it for it to be. I dont like living in the ghetto of LA, social life, the size of the school is kinda too big for me, I felt professors were more focused on personal and graduate level research and did not care much of the undergrad students. I am studying Industrial Engineering. I wanted to know how important school prestige is, especially in the field of engineering. I am starting to think I should transfer back to U Miami as the only thing that is making me stay at USC is its "higher academics" and prestige. What do you guys think I should do? How would a degree in Engineering compare if I get it from USC(top 10 grad engineering school) vs U Miami (unknown ranked). I am an international student so price is basically the same and home would be closer to cali but still an 8hr flight.
