<p>I finished my freshmen year of college at Umaine-Orono last year. I was a wildlife ecology/conservation major. I did poorly in my classes and ended with a 2.6 GPA. I decided to switch my major to accounting and try my hand at it. However, my tuition for the fall semester at Umaine went up exponentially. I can stick this fall semester out at Umaine while applying to other colleges for the spring semester. However, my GPA is low and I don't have excellent references, so I don't know what schools would accept me. My other option is to transfer to a community college for this fall semester, if it's not too late. Someone told me that that would be lowering myself and future employers would notice that. I'm running short on time and I don't know what I should do.
