I got accepted to UCSD & UCSC. and I appealed to UCD (90% will get in) and my major is Biochemistry. I wanna be a pharmacist. So I was thinking of I go to UCSD, it will challenging for me since its a pretty good school and I'll have a low GPA like 3.2......BUT, if I go to UCD, which a not bad UC school at all especially for Biology major, I'll have a high GPA..like 3.6 or 3.7........And I heard that Undergrad. doesn't matter at all....all matters is G.P.A.

You shouldn’t assume that you will do good at one and bad at the other. It could go both ways, you never know. I would go to the place you will be most happiest.

There’s not much difference between those schools, so I don’t believe that logic will work. Even if UCSD is ranked higher than UCD, it doesn’t mean it is more difficult. Otherwise, why don’t you just go to UCR and “get a 4.0” according to your logic. Go where you will be happy.

UCSD is REALLY strong in bio. they’re top ranked, higher than UCB and UCLA. UCD is still quite respectable though.

if you’re going to aim for grad school, GPA probably matters a bit more. That said, it really depends. if you’re trying to get a job straight out and don’t plan on going on further, just go to UCSD.

There’s not as huge a gap between difficulty in the UC’s as you’re thinking. I’m at UC Riverside and have had incredibly tough classes where more than half the class fails. Go where you’d prefer.

why are you assuming that you are only going to get a 3.2 at UCSD? If UCSD is that good at bio program, then I would just go there and challenge myself. oh btw, it’s gonna be hard to get a 3.7 at UCD also cuz im pretty sure there’s gonna be a lot of smart ppl.
