Should I transfer?

Due to financial problem I turned down my top choice to attend a state school ( Umass Amherst). I like small private schools setting versus huge public ones. As the second semester of my freshman year drags by I increasingly dread my current school to the point that I can't stand it some of the days. It's huge, but I feel like I'm cut off from the rest of the school a lot.

I'm looking into some activities, but the ones I joined in so far aren't so interesting. I want to volunteer, but I hate taking the bus from the town back and forth because of my busy schedule. Also, there's not a single space in this campus where's it quite. I might be asking too much, but all I want is a quiet place to study. Even the quiet room in the library is noisy since people constantly talk on the phone, their friends, or play music ( and there's 20+ floors here). I'm not even going to begin about the roads. Social life, its ok. I'm not really hyped about partying ( which is big in this campus) neither do I like just "hanging out with friends every minutes besides classes." Although I have more complaints, I'm thoroughly pleased with the academics. I love my engaging professors, and I'm looking forward to working with the student government someday, or my dorm's student government.

Should I transfer, and if I should where?

( Prefer: Schools near or in Boston, small , strong student government activities, and MUST have one place that's quiet to study like a library)

THANKS!
