I started school at a D1 school in California where I was unhappy and realized I wanted to play volleyball in college. I transferred schools to a school where I was recruited for volleyball and was unjustly cut a few months later. I was told I could try out for the team and most likely play next year so I decided to stay and try again. Turns out I didn't make it again this year and I really should have. It's really emotionally hard on me and I can barely stand to be in my apartment because my roommates are athletes. What should I do? I would really like to play volleyball but am now a junior and it seems late to transfer. But I am seriously unhappy and really want to play on a college team.

Stay put and finish your degree. Since you aren’t doing a sport, spend your time doing the things that college is really about: academics and personal growth.

It appears that college volleyball is not going to happen for you, make peace with it and move on. Stop with the ‘unjustly’ and ‘I really should have’ and find another way of participating in volleyball (coaching kids, playing on a community team, etc.).

Broaden your POV and get new roommates who aren’t athletes next year.

agree with what was stated above, and can’t you just join a club volleyball team?
