I applied to Barnard last year as a senior in high school and got waitlisted. I have a 3.4 as of my first term in college but I think my GPA will go up next term. If I apply to tranfer is there a huge chance of rejection? Or should I wait until next year?

if you were rejected this time around, you could apply again next year. but if you want to transfer i would think you should do it as soon as possible, just so you have a fuller time at the college of your choice.

but isnt applying 3 times in a row too much?

Some schools have rules about how many times you can apply within a certain period... I'm not sure if Barnard has those rules though. I'd check with admissions. If there is no rule against it, I would think it could work in your favor to some degree by showing how interested you are in the school and how you're not going to give up. Good luck!

i don't think it's not allowed.. but it might be "too much," as in, time to give up barnard and move on.. barnard is an awesome place but if they keep turning you down then they probably think you will fit better someplace else. i would definitely say talk to a transfer adviser about your chances, and i hope you're applying to other places too.
