<p>I'm currently a freshman and will be a sophomore in the fall and go to MTSU. I'm not happy there at all. However, I was considering transferring to another college that isn't much of a party school around the end of my sophomore year, so I'd be a junior when I start at the new college.</p>
<p>Right now, I have a 3.3 college GPA(I really slacked off because I didn't get into my dream college) and volunteer at the local hospital for about 4 hours every week and tutor on weekends. I wanted to transfer to Vanderbilt because I originally wanted to go there, but my high school stats were terrible (3.4GPA, 24 ACT score).</p>

How weighted is your high school GPA and ACT/SAT scores in the admission process?
Does volunteer have any weight to admission process?
What can I do in a years time to improve my application?</p>
