transfer advice!

So, I'm in nursing school at the moment, and I have kind of decided that I don't really think it's for me. I'm looking into transferring somewhere in the Fall, and I really want to go to Vanderbilt. Can anyone give me advice on this? (i.e. do i have a fair chance to get accepted, etc)

HS GPA: 4.4 (3.3 UW)
College GPA: 3.79

I have a fair amount of EC's, mostly work and volunteering, and could probably pull off a pretty good essay.

I also have a lot of Dual Enrollment classes that I took in high school (math and English) that I was hoping they would accept, if I got in. I don't really know how Vandy would look at that, but my current school accepted it all.

Any comment/advice is appreciated!

Sarah, it looks like they received approx 460 transfer apps and accepted about 160. It seems like the SATs and essays will play an important role in their admissions process. Good luck!

Go to the Transfer forum and read the sticky threads at the top, they give excellent information about what is important for transfers. A lot will depend on whether you're transferring as a sop or jr, what school you are currently attending, instructor recs, etc.

Also, post your questions there as the moderator and posters are likely to have the most informed advice.
