Should I try?

I would like to apply to Yale, Columbia, Princeton (maybe), USC and Champan University.
But... should I?

I'm an international student, so my school system is very different. Anyway the conversion of my GPA I think is 3.62. I study Italian, English, Latin, Ancient Greek, Philosophy, World History, Science, Physics, Maths, and History of art.

I'm planning to get a 2000+ on the SAT and to take SATII, too, in Italian, Latin and Literature (plan: Italian 800, Latin 800, Literature 700+).

Letters are going to be great, I study in a very small school, so teachers like me and I will be the first to go to study in the US ever. Essay won't be a problem as well, 'cause writing has always been my strength and I'm going to work very hard on them. I think I will write about how humanities have chanced me through the years (since I study in a school based on humanities) in the common application. I will send them a creative work of mine, too, a video I made.

I've been captain of the volleyball team for 7 years. I'm the co-creator of a national fan-club of a TV show which I run personally and I organized a national meeting for the members. I have a lot of creative works (especially due to writing) and one is published on line and got more than 30,000 views. I worked as a photographer. Babysitting. Tutor.

Try to get sat to 2200, ecs are good and you have a good story. However, your gpa is low. I would apply to all of them, and a few safeties if money isn’t an issue.

Thanks! I will!
Actually the GPA does worry me the most, but maybe they will consider that my school has a different system? I hope so 'cause it’s a really hard school and I think I couldn’t have much more without going totally crazy. Anyway I will try to improve the SAT and maybe find out some EC to do during this summer, maybe some writing contest.
