Should I use the Post 9/11 GI Bill if received a Cal Grant

I qualified for Cal Grant A, but I also have the Post 9/11 GI Bill. I'm not sure if I should hold off on using my GI Bill until I go graduate school. I know there are graduate schools that offer the Yellow Ribbon Program to pay for what the Post 9/11 GI bill doesn't cover and that the VA matches whatever the school offers; however, the graduate school will only offer the Yellow Ribbon Program if you have 100% of your GI Bill available. I'm also not sure how things will work out if I try to use both at the same time.
I was accepted to UCR, but I'm currently waiting to see if I got into UCLA. I was selected to compete for the Regents scholarship over there so I'm guessing that I have a good chance of being accepted. UCR is closer to my house though and going there would make it easier for me to hold off on using my GI Bill until graduate school, simply because I would save money on gas, food, and housing. I'm just not sure if going to UCR would lower my chances of getting into a good graduate school for Law or International Relations.

You may want to ask this question in the Veterans sub-forum. Look for the link to it at the top of the Admissions Forum under the heading “Special College Admissions Topics”. Someone there should have ideas for you.

We will be going through the decision making whether to use GI Bill now or later. WIth us, it will depend where she chooses to go to school, first off. One school is definitely use it now. THe other are iffy and one is more likely to be use it later.
