<p>The topic is an issue of importance. I, personally don't like the whole high school, drug scene. My friends always make fun of my for it. But in the end, I focused more on my grades, and their priorities are now partying and not going to college. Should i write about my experiences and how i dealt with my friends being introduced to alcohol and weed?
I don't know if I should stray away from the topic because it'll involve underage drinking.</p>

Write a poignant essay that discusses you and reveals you…that is who the admissions office wants to get to know, that is who they want to admit.</p>
<p>I wouldn’t. It seems like you’re writing more about your friends instead of yourself, which isn’t really a good idea.</p>
<p>Sounds like a risky essay and that it will easily stray from you.</p>
<p>But if you can write it well and make it clearly define you and others (guidance counselor, english teacher etc) approve, then by all means go for it.</p>
