Should the architecture portfolio be without words?

Are we suppose to label the pieces with media used? original size etc.? or just leave it with only the picture. Some of my pieces are conceptual, is it acceptable to write a little paragraph on my picture?

I would think it would be clear on the application in terms of what is expected/allowed/disallowed. I would think it would be appropriate to give detail to the picture, but not commentary. So… 5 story, masonry, using Van Gogh style mixed with some Ansel Adams style (architecture - yes, I know they are not architects), but not… I worked really hard and many hours and did my creative best to do this.

huh…Reading the directions over a few times…I am pretty sure the application actually doesn’t say. It says sound is not allowed but nothing pertaining description. I don’t mean THAT kind of commentary, more like This piece is influence by the One and Three Chairs blah blah. The color is to represent…blah… (Some of my pieces are conceptual so it would have no meaning if I do say what it represents.)

Do what you feel is best. I do think some sort of description is likely beneficial.
