True. Should students then also not apply to any private universities? They often have similar costs to that of an out of state student at a public university. I don’t think it is fair to say students should only apply to in state schools, especially when one does not know the financial aid offer they may receive. It does not feel as though this article really answers the question, but rather states some facts about large public universities.
