I’ve chosen my essay prompt (prompt 4), but i’m struggling to come up with a suitable topic to answer it.
I was wondering if I should use the essay to explain to the admission officers the reasons why I chose my major (business). Should my essay be related to business? or can it be anything?
You could do that, but you don’t have to. It’s open-eneded on purpose.
Thank you, if I’m choosing prompt 4, can it be on solving others problems?
It says “that is of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you.” If solving someone else’s problems is of personal importance to you and you can write about how this is significant TO YOU, then fine. Remember, they aren’t interested in what you did for someone else, how clever your solution is or why it solves that person’s problem. They are trying to find out why this problem is significant to you - why you care about this.
