shud i be strictly stick to the word limit on transfer essays?

<p>Hello, I am writing my essays and i think its a bit long. There are some colleges without specific word limit, and they just say 1page, so since my essay is sooo long, I made the margin really big, and had the font 11. Do you kno if its okay to do so?? </p>

<p>Also, there are also some schools with specific word limits on essays. It says,
"we prefer you limit your essays to 500 words." Should I be strictly stick to these word limits?</p>

<p>In your essays, if they say to keep it at something, I'd stick to it. And for your other one, if its one page i'd write it in font 12 and shorten it a bit. They do that to make things a bit easier on them because they have to read so many essays. I dont think it would be the end of the world but i'd try to stick to it as much as possible.</p>
