Which Shuttles/ Bus do you guys take/recommend? Where do we catch it? and where exactly is it going to stop at UCSD?

I'm flying to SD for my move-in day so I don't know if it's comfortable taking the shuttle/bus with all my stuff (about 3 suitcases and a bike) to UCSD. I'm in Revelle. Have anyone ever done this before?

Ummmm I am flying too but I am taking the supershuttle AND my luggage is wayyyyyy less than yours (1 HUGE suitcase and 1 carry on suitcase). However, supershuttle requires you to call them for the reservation (NOT online) if you have any over sized items like bikes and more than two suitcases.

Being completely honest, if money isn’t a HUGE deal I would take a cab… it’s only around 30-40$ (probably not too much more than super shuttle) and frankly worth it to avoid extra stresses on move in day. I know I sure as hell wouldn’t have wanted to worry about meeting a shuttle last year on move in day when there’s 10 million other things going on.

oh so there is no bus/regualr shuttle that goes straight from the airport to SD? If not I guess I’ll take the cab. It can carry a bike too right? And what 100 things do you have to do on the move-in day? do’nt you just unload your stuff, get your key and put them in your room?

You can take the bus, but I believe you have to transfer somewhere downtown. Shuttles (like Supershuttle, Cloud 9 etc) go to UCSD but you have to make a reservation- they’re fine but I personally prefer cabs because they’re not too much more expensive and a lot more convenient.
I dunno move in day is just really hectic cause you are trying to meet people, unpack your room, do all the checklist/RA stuff… I dunno I was really nervous on move in day haha and I wouldn’t want to add a shuttle to the mix. Cabbing it would make me feel a lot more… reassured. But you might be different, that’s just my opinion.

p.s. if you do get a cab try to get one of the van ones so it can hold your bike. maybe call a cab company in advance to make sure.

^^^Yeah I was kinda taken aback too but then I blurredly remember that Southwest does allow you with bikes but with an extra charge or something. I apologize if I am wrong though.
