I am filling out the dreaded FAFSA for my eldest and would like to know if there is a way to indicate that I have a significant tuition burden for his two younger siblings who are attending private high and middle school (>$60 K)

there is nowhere to put that on the fafsa. If your child is applying to a school that uses the CSS profile, there is place for it there.

If you are applying to a FAFSA only school then you can contact the FA office and tell them that you are paying 60K a year (?) for private school tuition and want them to consider that when making a financial aid package. They can choose to care about that or not.

You do realize that what you are paying for private schools is higher than the average person makes in a year.

redridgie...I feel your pain! We too pay for two college tuitions, $35K & $50K and private high school $6k...we do not qualify for financial aid but put a huge amount toward education annually. Yes we are blessed with a higher than avearge income but that high income gets depleted quickly but not enough to get any financial aid. We are also the ones who are about to get nailed with any new proposed tax plans!! Anyway you're not alone!
