Sick for November SAT date-Early Decision

This is a bad situation.
I was sick the weekend of the November SAT date, when I was planning to retake the Math 2 and Chemistry subject tests, so I could not make it to the test center. I'm applying to SEAS, and my old scores on these were not Columbia caliber (low 600s).
I moved my test date to December, but this is past the ED SAT date. I'm debating if I should make my case to the admissions office to see if they would accept the December tests. Would they even consider this?

This seems very unlikely, considering that your December scores would almost certainly reach them a bit after they typically finalize their ED decisions. I understand that your circumstance is unusual (and pretty unfortunate), so I guess it’s worth a try…but i wouldn’t expect much.

They would not accept December scores. Your decision will have been made (and revealed to you) by then.

Wanted to give an update
I called the undergrad admissions office and they said, as I figured, that they cannot accept December SAT scores. They did offer to move my application to RD. Anyone think that would be a good/bad idea?
I said no b/c I liked Columbia more than my RD schools, but if I have a better chance RD then I’ll move my application.

currently you are way below profile. this means your chance of admission without extenuating circumstances is very low. you will need higher scores to stand a better chance at columbia or other top schools - so concentrating on things for RD will give you the best chance to get into schools (columbia). i suppose if you really want to attend columbia they would understand that you wanted to put your best foot forward.

I know it’s disappointing but personally I’d move to RD. Any advantage you’d gain from ED would be rendered inconsequential by the low scores…
