<p>Someone from my school's a semifinalist...a senior.</p>

<p>I am not surprised by the seven semifinalists from Hathaway Brown, as they are one of the few schools that engage in the competition in the area. Few in my school (in the same town) know what Intel ISEF is, and virtually no one has entered it in recent times.</p>

Dumb question here this my first time doing siemens i have done jshs and isef though but do semifinalists actually get anything</p>

<p>"From this initial judging, up to 300 outstanding projects are selected and students are recognized as Semifinalists. These students will receive a special recognition package and their names are posted on the Siemens Foundation website."</p>

<p>yes, usually the weekend before, so starting this friday the 27th, I think they will start calling the people who made regional finals.</p>
