Hey guys,

I'm about to start my senior year of undergrad. I'm interested in getting a masters in signal processing with a bio/neuro focus and had a couple of questions.

Any tips for finding a grad school? Mostly I have been looking for papers that interested me and have been adding those schools and professors to my list. Is there a better way, I feel like I am overlooking a lot of schools this way?

How do I really tell if a grad school is any good/respected?

How challenging is it to get funding at most schools if I am only getting a masters?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

USC has a really good program and there is a lot of research in that field. They have a med school and a top notch engineering program as well.

I would narrow it down to region that you want to live. But if you want to get into the best school possible, do what everyone else does and go by US News. Compile a list of good schools that do medical research and just go from there. Examples: Duke, UC San Diego, Stanford, Northwestern, UCLA, John Hopkins, USC, UT-Austin, Michigan, Penn…

There is a hundred or more schools that you can choose. You will have to find the personal criteria to narrow down your choices.
