<p>Does anyone know how writing a letter of intent can affect your admission? I don't mean an athletic, binding contract, but rather a letter designating a school as your number one choice. Would it help or just appear tacky? Anyone have experience with them from the applicant end or admission end? thanks</p>
<p>Isn’t that the purpose of Early Decision? In the absence of ED, I think I’d just indicate in an essay what the school is a unique and ideal fit for me (and vice versa).</p>
