Since yesterday I have been receiving a bunch of email from different schools. Some of them really silly, like the one from a school in California telling me about socks day attaching a collage of different socks wore on campus. Other, offering fee waivers, etc. But the most disturbing one are the ones from Yale-NIS considering I only applied to Yale and didnt check the box for NIS. I wonder if that means i will be rejected from Yale and that is why they are pushing Yale-NIS
I didn’t get an email about that. Did anyone else?
I don’t think colleges have that much control. Some emails I got from UW told me to apply after I submitted. If you’re on the Yale maling list, you probably get those emails. At least I hope so.
I’m kinda worried this. Any sane reasonable people able to put a stop to that for me?
Once you apply to your choices, unsubscribe from any that you are getting from schools that you decided not to apply to. Some schools are absolutely incredible with the number of emails they send.
Good advice @NorthernMom61
With no interview invitation so far I am starting to believe my chances are close to 0
https://admissions.yale.edu/interviews I don’t think Yale screens applicants for interviews. If you don’t get one there was probably no interviewer available
Historically Yale-NIS has been harder to get into than Yale, unless things have changed in the last year or two. It has nothing to do with your Yale application.
@Cariar — I have interviewed people who obviously had no chance of getting in. Interviews depend on the availability of interviewers, not on the strength of your application.
Thank you @CIEE83
