SIMR (Stanford Institutes of Medicine Summer Research Program) 2015 THREAD

damnn. rejected by nih, simr, simons, and soon to be jax.
not a good week

I feel like they do lean towards those who live in cali, or around the bay area as they do not offer housingā€¦ I hate being from minnesota

Have they sent all of the emails yet? havenā€™t received anything yet

  • from boston [with relative in palo alto]

Rejected good luck to everyone who hasnā€™t got an email and congrats to those who got in!!!

is someone gonna make a simr 2015 summer facebook page

@ivyyhopes same, same

Opinion:

Which is more prestigious NIH SIP or SIMR?

@ā€Œultimate314 I would personally, albeit uneducatedly, say NIHSIP just because itā€™s way more selective for high school students, isnā€™t it?

Wharton LBW or SIMR?

I got accepted!!! They called at like 4 to say that I was accepted. Best of luck to everyone and hope to see you there!

Hey guys. Did any of you also apply for the Arthritis Foundation Summer Science Internship program affiliated with Stanford and UCSF? Decisions were supposed to have come out todayā€¦

Anyone accepted from the outside of California?

Can anyone who got accepted post their stats? Say, test scores, ecā€™s, research experience, etc. so that we have a better understanding of how the admission process works?

Got in but Iā€™ll probably stick with RSI and head to MIT this summer.

Got in. Would like to find people attending the program to find/share/rent housing together.

@smash001ā€Œ Iā€™m actually looking for a place to stay too!

I got accepted and am looking to find someone to rent a house together too.

Hey everyone! I also just got accepted to the SMIR program and Iā€™m looking forward to meeting all of you. Like many of the other students who got accepted, I am in need of housing as well. I made a facebook group, in case you want to join to arrange housing or have any other discussions about the program.
