Single paragraph essay?

<p>I just finished both the essays required for the University of Illinois application, but as I was pasting it from a word processor, I realized I only had one paragraph. The essay is solid as it is, but it could be split into a few paragraphs if I really wanted to. I was wondering if I should leave it as a single paragraph (which I prefer) or split my ideas (which are all closely related anyways) into separate ones? I'm just curious if it will hurt my essay in the eyes of the reader. Thanks!</p>
