Single room in Honors Dorm?

Hi! So, I have PTSD, depression, panic disorder, and autism. Because of this, the Office of Student Disabilities made sure that I would get a room for myself and my emotional service animal. I was assigned to live in the Honors Dorm (which is odd, since I’m not in the Honors College. I applied, but didn’t get in), which usually has two people to a room, right? Does anyone know what would happen to the extra set of furniture in my room? Would they take it away or do I keep it? My suitemates are sharing a room.

There are singles in the honors dorm. My D is in a double which shares a bathroom with a single. The single suitmate is not in the honors college. Good luck to you - the dorm is beautiful!

Yes there are lots of singles in honors, maybe even some that don’t share a bathroom (I know there are some of these for RAs). Not only are there singles but there are singles that have handicapped facilities - slightly more space etc.

The Office of Student Disabilities has been very responsive for my newly diagnosed student. Professors have been understanding with medical absences and late work related to the condition. Good luck to you.
