Sinner's Alley Happy Hour (Part 1)

Stopping in to have a Spandrel, the drink named in honor of LTS.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parent-cafe/397947-support-latetoschool-120.html#post1063110250

aibarr designed this hospital and has seen to it that we remember LTS with the building of the spandrels in her honor.

Yes, I’d like to buy a round of Spandrels for everyone in the house.

Barkeep, make it a double for anyone in red heels!

Ha! Wasn’t conscioulsy thinking about LTS,though have been keeping up on the thread of late… but did wear red shoes today! Set 'em up, barkeep!

knocks one back.

Hear, hear. Cheers to you, LTS, and your vivacious spirit that still permeates this forum. May all our voices comfort your daughter right about now, even if she doesn’t quite know why she’s feeling better.

bartender, one mojito, please. DS is entering his senior yr. Now, every school activity will be his “last” as a high schooler…

Bumping up from pg. 5

Surely those of you who have dropped kids off at college, or whose kids have gone back to HS/elem. school, now have time to stop by the Alley for a little something?

I was at a beautiful wedding last night. Here’s a virtual toast to the lovely bride and handsome groom!

Hi guys. I check in and read to see how everyone is doing now and again. D has a job. A car. S starts sophomore year in a few weeks. Things change, you know? Concerns shift. But the people I met here in those college application years helped enormously. Drinking some sustainable Sauvignon Blanc and remembering. I only wish we could all, always, know just what mattered to worry about.

A round on me…dropped off twin daughters yesterday. DS will be entering high school a week from monday but for the next few days it is still summer and I have no one’s college plan to think about!

Yay historymom! You actually have time to hang around the Alley…enjoy! :)

I think we should install some hammocks in the patio out back. While the weather is still nice.

Yes, let’s ask the marmots to hang those hammocks! I’m afraid my wine will HAVE to virtual for now, so this is the place for me! I have myself on a confounded weight-loss regimen, and I know that after I have one glass of wine, I don’t care whether I am fat or thin, and the cheese and crackers start calling…

Went to a lovely outdoor wedding last weekend…Bride wearing a strapless gown and a long veil. After the thankfully short ceremony, as they are walking down the aisle, the wind comes and blows her veil aside to reveal a 3-4" tattoo on her right shoulder of a… black widow. Would love to hear the story of how she got that one in the first place…didn’t ask.

LOL, ihs!

Anybody else having the problem of new posts not being emailed to you like they should be? Over in another thread some people were having this problem, as I am.

How can I keep up with goings on in the Alley???

ihs, you might want to inquire after the health of the groom today…

I saw the same but the bride had a tattoo on her front and rear shoulder. Can’t recollect what the tattoos were, but I do know that they were in 3 colors but mostly purplish on pink skin.

Off to the airport for D to go back to school.:(

Is it happy hour somewhere?

mommusic-
Yeah, auto email notification seems to be temporarily kaput. Hard to remember what to check – thank heavens for the “my control panel” ooption.

GA2012MOM- thought you were driving with that geat Hertz rental deal you found. Did that plan change??

GA2012Mom–In here, it’s always Happy Hour! And we always have your favorite drink, as well as peanuts in the shell & cheese doodles. :)

Hiya! When did the name change to “Sinner’s Alley Happy Hour?”

It sounds like, “Sinner’s Alley—Under New Management!” We’re happy, damnit!
