OMG, I feel for you all being cooked by the heat wave! Rose makes really good slushies appropriately called “froze.”

Ya know, one of my favorite personal thoughts often said out loud is, "And someone was for paid good money for this?!!!??!!! Saying it now as I read CC and have a second glass of wine :).

choatiemom, how are you making your text bold.
Bold is [ b] and /b.
[thx/]
thanks! Now if I can just remember this.
[b/]
What am I doing wrong?
Before your text, put [ b] without the space.
After your text, put [ /b] without the space.
[bveryhappy/b]
happy
Yeah.
** great **
A mod edited my last bolded post to remove the emphasis, so I assume that trying to make this font readable is not allowed.
FWIW, on my laptop your bold post just looks like shouting.
The moderating team decided that bolded posts are distracting, similar to when people type in all caps. So we will “unbold” posts that we happen to notice. We won’t be searching them out, however.
Is it still ok to simply bold a section of a post for emphasis. As in:
This is the most important bit, blah, blah, blah (not so important).
?
I can’t imagine why not @calmom - it’s OK to use caps judiciously also
They can disable bbcode they don’t want us to use. Like images, etc.
It’s so much easier for me to read the bold type. Wish the mods would use a thicker font. Why won’t they?
@martharap have you tried just using a larger font in your browser? For me it’s CTRL+scroll my mouse wheel, varies by OS and browser.
It’s just too light and hard to see. I’ll try larger but doubt it will make a difference.
Mods didn’t pick the font or anything else.
It’s not the size of the font. It’s two things – it’s the color (the color is gray, not black) and it’s the fact that it’s a very slim font, so it’s hard to see each letter clearly.
