SIR then RESCINDED means staying at CC for another year?

At my community college, grades come out June 8th. However, the SIR date for UC’s is June 1st.

If I were to be rescinded due to my spring grades, I cannot SIR to any other UC’s.>>> staying at CC for another year.
( UCLA “might” rescind me if i get a C on a major prep course, however, Davis won’t ( TAG - as long as i maintain my GPA).

Do you guys see the dilemma here? Or am I missing something.

Even though grades come out on June 8th, you should have a good idea of what grades you’ll receive before June 1st.

That said, there have been cases involving last-minute grade-based rescinds in the past (usually involving Berkeley and UCLA) and the majority of those individuals appealed their deferral of acceptances and eventually enrolled at other UCs (commonly Riverside, Santa Cruz, and Merced) that were understanding of their predicament.

Regardless…it’s not a case of “might”. What does your Conditions of Admissions say? That is a legal contract and they can’t rescind you unless you violate what they explicitly state. If they explicitly require a B and you get a C, then they “might” re-admit you through an appeal (either yours or a counselor’s), but you will be rescinded.

My contract states," you must notify our office immediately of any withdrawals, incomplete grades, drop in academic performance (including 2 or more C grades, any D and/or F grades, any C grades in major preparatory courses), or other changes to your class schedule."

I will most likely contact UCLA and directly ask them if I will be rescinded ( if i end up getting a C in my major prep course -Ochem).

Thanks for your input @SDGoldenBear

They cannot answer on a hypothethical situation - your grades aren’t final yet. You will have to notify them AFTER your grades are final, and then they will re-evaluate.

Will UCLA rescind my acceptance?
