Rescinded Admissions (CC transfer)

I got into UCLA as a transfer from community college. Right now I am at high risk of a C in a major prerequisite. I was wondering if my admissions would be rescinded?
I have a 4.0 from last semester with a total of 14 units, and this semester I have 17 units for a likely gpa of 3.5 and a cummulative of 3.747.

my admissions contract:

Maintain the grade point average and complete the courses and number of units you reported in your application and in any subsequent course updates. You must be in good standing at your last institution of attendance. Also, if you attended another UC campus in regular session prior to enrollment at UCLA, you must have been in good standing when you left that UC campus. Notify our office immediately of any withdrawals, incomplete grades, drop in academic performance [including 2 or more C grades, any D and/or F grades, any C grades in major preparatory courses], or other changes to your class schedule. [See Contacting UCLA section.]

Yes, you are at risk and probably get rescinded. Notify them asap. The later you wait, the worse it will be.

just update your grade, they will give you answer in 15 days.

You can’t notify them until you know your final grades. 15 days is too long and will be AFTER June 1st for me. This is going to force me to SIR to Cal :/

With one C? I think you’ll be fine. I guess you never know though.

A C in a major prep class is devastating. A C in a non major class is not so bad.

Are you doing good in your other classes? If you’re getting A’s in the rest of your classes I dont think it will be a huge deal. ucsb let me drop one of my pre reqs and they didnt rescind me. Then again we’re talking about ucla here

I also have a question. I have 90+ semester college units, and I want to drop a course. It is not major pre req nor IGETC. However, Berkeley did ask that I finish all the courses that I had planned for the semester. Would I be rescinded if I drop the course? I have emailed my admissions officer, but she has not responded yet and the drop date is this FRIDAY!!

@kay

Call them and ask to speak with your adviser/ counselor. I wouldnt trust email, I tried emailing admissions once and it took them 2 weeks to reply. Call and ask if you can drop the course and if it will affect your admissions.

Don’t drop it. Contact says to finish it so follow it to the teeth to avoid your admission being rescinded.

It’s not okay to drop a pre req…

@HopingToXfer

If you are referring to my post…
It is NOT a pre-req…

What happened OP?
