Both my parents graduated from Nanjing University (undergrad) and since Nanjing and JHU are sister schools, does this legacy help me at all?

<3 Nanjing... I was born there :) haha, and I'm not too optimistic about legacy... it's more out of curiosity.

Legacy is only for grandparents, parents, or siblings that have graduated from an official JHU school. Affiliates (sister schools) do not count.

:( Well, it's as I thought, I suppose. I should thank my friend for getting my hopes up... but I guess, legacy or not, there are still other factors. Ugh. The more I think about this school, the more I want the acceptance... It's going to be a miserable, miserable day if I get a rejection.

Hey coretto joe, I remember you from the Columbia forum. I got rejected ED, so I'm hoping Hopkins will work out. Good luck to you :]

Yeah. Rejection from Columbia is depressing. But I mean... if they don't want you, why should you want them? Pish posh.

Hopkins is pretty much my number one at this point, but it's still kind of reach-y. I'm hesitant to get too fond of the idea so I'm attempting to emotionally distance myself. (So far: unsuccessful.)

Anyway, good luck to you too!
