Housing requests/assignments are coming very soon and I wondered if anyone knew anything about the six person suites. I understand they are in the older dorms. What kind of condition are they in? Any students out there who live in or have lived in a six person suite - what did you think? How are the location of these dorms? Thank you!

Some of the six person suites have a common area and a balcony. My son is in one that used to be a 4 person suite. The common area was used to create the 3rd bedroom. They don't have a balcony but they do have 2 bathrooms. I haven't seen the ones with the common area and balconies but my son says that they are nice and pretty spacious. His suite is pretty small. Hope this helps.

The only real 6 person suites (aside from Park, which is freshmen) have 2 doubles, 2 singles, 1 bathroom, a common room, and a balcony. They're awesome in my opinion. Not as pristinely clean as the new dorms, but they're in good enough shape, and anything that actually breaks will be fixed by maintenance. I lived in one last year, and I don't regret it one bit. The bed rooms are a bit smaller than the new rooms (especially the singles, they're about 9x11), but the large common room and balcony makes up for that.

Thanks M'sMom and Oncampus -
I had wondered about how spacious they are (besides being a dorm room which is never that spacious!). Wondered if they were clean and kept up. Are they well lit in the halls and in the rooms? Do all the bedrooms have windows? Did you feel safe living there? Do they have adequate study areas? How about laundry facilities - are they okay? Thanks for any info you can provide!

Park has both freshmen and sophomores there this year. The bathrooms are cleaned, I think once a week. The bedrooms all have windows. I think the laundry facilities are on the first floor and the hallways are well lit. As far as I know, he feels quite safe.
