is it easy to get double rooms in res hall?

nearly everyone will be placed into a double.

the lucky get singles and the unlucky get triples.

=/
everyone says stuff about sixth college but i dont see what all the fuss is about.... the dorms are older but still nice
youre super close to price center which is a very nice thing...
and everyone i know from sixth are super nice
and its not like you have really bad GEs or anything.... its perfectly fine and stop freaking out!

hmm a little off topic, but are all the lower division courses standard the same for all UCs?? if so, then the only reason you're getting lower gpa at higher-tiered UC is due to the intense competition of other students right

i have no idea. but you gotta think about other differences though. different professors, different TAs, etc.

sixth college dorms suck!!!!!!!!! but its nice having a big area of grass and trees....close to classes and price center....however every other college has better dorms and more privacy...cuz in sixth anyone can just walk in plus is like a big cabin house where we all socialize....it can be good or bad.......i didnt know about the colleges so i pick watever.....im not sure wat was my first choice but watever.....oh you have closer parking n main offices. However FOODWORKS IS TO DAM FAR!!!!!!!! compare to how close others have there dinning halls.......its like watever....there always something great that other college doesnt have.......i guess its really peaceful......away from all the buildings....u feel like home.

what's price center?

and i applied undeclared...can i do premed iin 6th?

can u tell i didn't do that much research before appplying yikes.

Well, if you're a girl. Be happy. That's where all the good looking guys are. And if you're a guy. Be happy again. Because there's a fine amount of good looking girls that end up here too. At least the one's here are now. (don't worry. Triton eye not included. UCLA friends said so themselves when they came with me).

Anyways. It's nice being in Sixth College. It's the only college where you can get an apartment first year. Let me tell you now. First year students run out of food money so fast. SO this is what you do if you have an apartment. You go to foodworx (our closest cafeteria). Ask for a salad, but no lettuce. Just chicken. Then they'll charge you like 4.00 for a box of chicken. Take it home. Cook it in a frying pan and put ilke teriyaki sauce and get rice or something. And then you can split it between 4 people. If you do that. You have so much money for ice cream.

Okay i'm getting off topic. I love Sixth College. Since we have the smallest college. You'll know your freshman class quite well. If you make loud noises liek I did during orientation, people will know you and you can just say HII to everyone that passes by (even the hot girls). oh baby. <3

GE's? Duude. We're like. 3rd worst behind Muir and mayeb Marshall. It's not that bad. It has the most separated genre's of GE's so more AP's will count for actual classes if you took them. (Don't ask me to explain, it's soooo000ooo difficult to explain AP credit transfer. Make another thread).
And hmm... what else am I missing... We're called camp snoopy because the dorms look like a camp? HaH. Whatever. I think our college looks the most homey. Meaning, you can actually tell your friends after goign to the library "i'm going home". Instead of saying "I'm going back to my dorm/apartment" like other colleges do. I'm sure other Sixth Collegers would agree with this. Since it's only two stories high (the dorms that is), you won't have to carry your luggage up 5 stories or whatever like in other colleges.

OKAY! I'll type more later. SORRY ABOUT ALL THE TYPOS.

YAY :) thanks TheOneZ..you make it sound amazing.
yay for hot boys and yay for teriyaki chicken and homey libraries :]

I agree, thanks TheOneZ (:
sixth college soounds awesome now
&im excited to be apart of it.

&woo for hot guys haha.

ok so my brother (as a cal community college transfer) and I both got into sixth, n we were wondering about housing...were cool so it would be ok if we lived together, which is what my parents want.

any recommendations or advice? im sure he cant live in a dorm, but what apartments are good?

is it even possible for both of us to live on campus??

what are some good off campus choices?
any help would be great :)

since you guys are both in the same college, I think it's possible to request roommates, or is that only for incoming freshmen?

idk, b/c hell be a 3rd year, so im not sure if he can live on campus...:/

I got in Sixth.
...and I think I'm 70% sure I'm going to UCSD.
See you all there?

oh, if he's 3rd year. It will be difficult to get a double. Because only the first two years are guaranteed housing. If he is able to get a room, then they will put you together. But he will be the last to know. So it will be very difficult.

I can't say much about the dorms, I can only speak for apartments.

Sixth College is balling. I'm glad I made you guys like Six College.

thanks theoneZ

ok. we have the hot guys. so stop complaining.
