<p>please someone say good things about sixth college. this forum has made me very depressed about getting in because every says sixth sucks.

<p>lmaoo. I got into Sixth as well. It was my fourth choice, so I was pretty bummed about it (cuz all i knew was random ■■■-talk that sixth was the worst or something)</p>
<p>After doing more research…:
- Sixth GEs are not that bad
- Sixth college has the most spirit out of all the UCSD colleges (read: unity)
- Its where the party people at!
- I saw a video of the dorms + common room in Sixth, and it looked really nice because it’s set up in a way that totally promotes interaction with your dormies.
- We may get to have input in deciding the official new name of Sixth =O (if the administration allows it -_- )
- Sixth college is closest to the UCSD bus loop, so it’s hella easy to get off campus and go to beach/SD/nightclubs/groceries/food/nightclubs/beach/beach
- According to some random CC thread I dug up, general consensus is that most of the hot frosh girls/guy class of 2013 are in Sixth college. I know for sure 2014 gonna bring sexy back
- Sixth College is closest to Price Center/aka center of the campus
- If you have me as one of your suitemates, we’re tearin up SD for the next 4 years =D</p>
<p>I’m a transfer student and I got into sixth. My friend who goes there told me its the one I wanted to be in and I trusted her.</p>

<p>lol, there have been several threads opened about this already. oh well. I hope you are feeling a little better about Sixth because there are a lot of positive things about living here! honestly you just need to adjust to certain classes/dining halls being somewhat far away. but other things, such as Price Center and the Loft that were mentioned, are very close by. it is more about how you deal with the situation; don’t focus on the negative aspects as “bad” things, but rather just as challenges that you will sooner or later learn to overcome. </p>

it’s weird that I’m the only Indian (girl) in my building because most of the people who came to SD from my high school were Indian. anyway. there are a lot of them here if that matters to you.</p>

<p>i think a lot of the things bindi92 dug up about sixth college were stated by me on CC in the past few days, a current freshman at sixth.</p>
<p>when i got initially got in, i, too, was bummed. i knew nothing about the six colleges at SD and simply put them in random order and had sixth first, which is where i got in. when i told people i got into sixth, people were telling me things like “its SIXTH college, so you should’ve put it as your SIXTH choice” and “SIXTH college is the SIXTH best college at ucsd.”</p>
<p>then… i got here. and i realized that almost everything bad said about sixth is complete and utter bull **** spewed by people who just like to hate.</p>
<p>lots of party people in sixth, that’s for sure. i know someone who throws parties in his room more than 2 times a week, with some bomb ass chicks from sixth.</p>
<p>have fun. i know you will.</p>
<p>I got into it as my first choice. </p>

<li>Closest to the buses to the beach…and that beach is LA JOLLA</li>
<li>I really like the Camp Snoopy look (I’m weird, but think it’s kind of cute and foresty)</li>
<li>The people are really nice there</li>
<li>I actually like the Culture/Art/Technology stuff</li>
<li>Cool common areas and that computer lab that’s open all the time </li>
<li>I know peeps from my school (REALLY COMPETITIVE) who got in and loved it because it was chill there instead of high pressure feeling like high school all over again</li>

I know that dorms are single-sex, but are suites co-ed? Or also single sex?</p>
<p>Suites have one floor for the guys and one floor for the girls. Essentially a floor consists of two “single-sex” suites.</p>
