SJSU vs Sonoma State

<p>I applied to both SJSU and Sonoma but for SJ my intended major is communications and I only picked this because I knew CE and CS were both impacted, so I picked something I did have a little interest in but it was something I knew I'd be safe to get in with. For Sonoma, my intended major is CS. I want to be a CS major but I also want to go to SJSU. Ive looked at their alternates to CE and CS and it's software engineering and that's specifically what I want to do in the future. I'm torn because although I want to go to SJSU, Sonoma has the major I need but it's nothing close to the area of SJ. If I go to SJSU, do you think I will be able to get into the CS or SE major I want? I don't want to waste my time with a major I don't want to do. </p>

Computer science (4100) and software engineering (3500) were more selective.</p>

You may want to contact them to ask if it is competitive admission, or if approval is automatic if you fulfill the stated requirements.</p>
